Botnet

Network composed of devices infected by specialised malware (malicious bot, described in the box on page. 60) and controlled by a so-called botmaster who  can remotely launch Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against other systems  or carry out illegal operations, at times commissioned by criminal organisations.
