The ability to protect or defend the use of cyberspace from cyber attacks.

The condition of cyberspace when it is protected from events, intentional or unintentional, that involve illicit data gathering and transfering, their modification or illegal destruction, and blocking of the informative systems, thanks to adequate physical, logical and procedural security measures. These include: security audit, security patches management, authentication procedures, access management, risk analysis, incidents/attacks detection and reaction, impacts mitigation, attack objects recovery, training staff, as well as controlling and upgrading of establishments physical security where communication informative systems are located.
